WHY WON’T MY KIDS SEE ME AT CHRISTMAS?

- By ALAN HUGHES news@ sundaysport. co. uk

IN his best satin nighty, silk knickers and gimp ball in his mouth, Phil Naylor is just indulging in his IDENTITY.

But Phil, 47, fears his chosen lifestyle may be the reason he expects to spend a second Christmas Day running without the company of his children.

The former broadband installation engineer, from Wrexham in north Wales, is convinced authorities are keeping his kids away from him because of their misguided view of his lifestyle.

“I can honestly say I would never and could never harm a fly,” he said, from his comfortably- furnished caravan parked on the edge of an industrial estate.

Cahoots

“My three boys mean more to me than anything else on Earth and just because my ex- wife is in cahoots with the social services doesn’t mean they can, or should, keep them from me.”

Phil, who sometimes prefers to go by the name Phyliss “depending on the weather”, said his family life was turned upside down at the start of 2019 when he started dressing differently.

He explained: “For years I was quite content to come home of an evening, kick my boots off and plonk myself in front of the TV with a few cans of lager next to me.

“Then one day, just like many other people, I woke up realising that I wasn’t entirely happy in my own skin after all.

“So while the missus was out at the market, I slipped on a pair of her knickers, dug out one of her late mother’s nighties, and then sat and waited for them all to come home for the big surprise.

“To my horror, though, when they let themselves in, they took one look at me and went running back through the front door, screaming as they ran down the street.

“I haven’t seen my boys – who are 13, 15, and 17 – since, and their bloody mother won’t take my calls!

“I’m convinced this is against my human rights and I’m actively seeking a lawyer to represent me.”

A neighbour of Phil’s said: “He’s such a lovely fellow, you know, but I don’t think he’s been very well.”

THE American state of Kentucky has been in the news after being devastated by killer tornadoes ( above).

But what else do we know about the place?

Here are some facts: 1

KENTUCKY is located in the southeastern United States and was the 15th state to officially join the Union. 2

THE state’s name originates from a Native American language. One of the most popular theories is that it comes from the Iroquois word “kentahten,” which means “land of tomorrow”.

3

ITS nickname is the Bluegrass State. Bluegrass is the common name of Poa pratensis, a grass. That has a blu- ish hue.

4

THE grass gives its name to a form of awful, yelping hillbilly music that comes from Kentucky.

5

FAMOUS people from Kentucky include Muhammad Ali ( below), Johnny Depp, Abraham Lincoln and George Clooney

6

THE Kentucky Derby is the longest- running horse race in the United States. Being Yanks, and thus savages, they pronounce it DER- by, rather than DAR- by

7

THE very first cheeseburger was served at Kaolin’s restaurant in Louisville, Kentucky in 1934 but the idea was patented a year later in Denver, Colorado 8

KENTUCKY Fried Chicken really does come from Kentucky. The first KFC, owned and operated by the real Colonel Sanders, is still running in Corbin, Kentucky.

9

Happy Birthday to You was created by two sisters from Louisville, Kentucky, in 1893.

10

THE largest amount of gold stored anywhere in the world is in Fort Knox, Kentucky.
