WANKING THUG SHAT IN POLICE VAN

A HANDCUFFED thug spent a 45- minute journey to custody cells in Hull masturbating in front of disgusted police officers.

Daniel Rutter, 33, had his genitals exposed for almost the entire van ride from Flamborough. He also defecated in the vehicle.

Hull Magistrates’ Court heard that following his arrest for beating his expartner, Rutter, of no fixed address, was put into a police van.

He subjected two female officers to an extended episode of sexual harassment during which he exposed himself, masturbated and made lewd remarks to the officers.

Pardeep Dhinsa, prosecuting, told the court Rutter had been released from prison on November 12, 2021, and was involved in an incident with his ex on November 16.

The victim had driven Rutter’s belongings to him after a barrage of calls amounting to harassment and the two had sex in a van, but things took a turn when he attacked her, hitting her twice and spitting on her.

When officers arrived to arrest him, he acted aggressively and spat on the arresting officers with the spit landing on one officer’s face.

Rutter wasn’t finished there as he proceeded to defecate inside what is known as the “prisoner cage” which is a secure area in the back of a police van with clear perspex sides.

Abuse

Rutter was sentenced to 18 weeks in prison for assaulting two emergency workers, assault by beating, harassment without violence and causing criminal damage on November 16 this year.

He denied a charge of exposure which was tried separately and chose not to attend court despite already being in custody. He was found guilty.

The court heard from the female officer tasked with overseeing Rutter’s welfare as he was transported to Clough Road from Flamborough.

She described being unable to look away due to her duties while being subjected to a stream of vile sexualised verbal abuse.

The officer told the court: “It was pretty disgusting, there is an expectation that as police officers we have to put up with so much but this time it went too far.

“It really concerned me to think that he was doing this to someone in uniform, it made me scared to think what might happen when I’m off duty.

“He was in the prisoner cag, he was cuffed and he had already been aggressive to the two arresting officers. I was supervising his welfare in the cage and another female officer was driving.

“He began touching himself over his trousers and making comments towards me and the driver, he then stood up and took down his trousers exposing his penis.

“For the 45 minute journey it didn’t go back into his trousers and he was constantly touching himself and making references to me and the other officer.”

The officer described Rutter’s comments which featured descriptions of his genitals and sexual acts involving the officers in the transport vehicle.

He also made threats referencing his arrest, telling the officer: “I’ll do to you what I did to her.”

As the officer was overseeing Rutter’s welfare she was unable to remove herself and she told him repeatedly to put his genitals away but he ignored her.

The court saw footage from the officer’s body camera showing Rutter exposing himself and harassing both of the officers in the transport vehicle.

The footage from only part of the 45 minute ordeal featured repeated instructions for Rutter to cover himself and a stream of extremely graphic abuse from the prisoner.

Judge Nick Hayles said: “What he did for that whole 45 minutes was nothing more than trying to cause that officer harm and distress.”

Rutter will be sentenced next month.
