WHEN Texan supermodel Jerry Hall wed newspaper billionaire Rupert Murdoch in 2016, Malcolm Smith was devastated.
Because the computer game addict from Biddulph, Staffs, was convinced Jerry wanted to marry HIM!
Now 42- year- old Malcolm’s heart is singing again as 66- year- old Jerry’s divorce from the 91- year- old tycoon leaves her free to wed him.
Malcolm explained that he got to know Jerry via an online computer game. He said: “We got chatting in a chat room and although Jerry called herself ‘ Starborgle432’ online, I knew in my bones it was her and eventually I asked her ‘ Are you Texan supermodel Jerry Hall?’
“There was a pause and then she replied ‘ Yes’. I was thrilled and fell in love. She agreed to marry me and asked if I could send her £ 1,000 for travel to Biddulph for the wedding.
“I was a bit confused as I thought she was rich but she explained Mick Jagger kept her short of housekeeping in all the years they were together and money was a bit tight.
“Reassured, I sent the cash. And then I heard nothing from her – until I read she’s married Rupert Murdoch! I was devastated.”
Repulsive
But Malcolm says he does not hold a grudge and has ‘ kept himself pure’ for Jerry.
He said: “I was happy to wait until Jerry came to her senses and that day has arrived. I can only say to her, through the pages of Sunday Sport to say ‘ Jerry, if you still want to marry me, I’m still here’.
“I know that some people would find stirring a ninetysomething- year- old’s porridge a bit repulsive but I do not mind. My love is that strong.”
