Homeland wins Yank fight to get Michelle

EX Corrie star Michelle Keegan will be cast in the next series of huge US drama Homeland.

The gorgeous actress, 29, has just finished filming tense war drama Our Girl for the BBC.

Her performance has been so impressive that US casting agents are fighting to get her involved in a high- end TV series over there.

Winning the fight for her services is the spy drama Homeland, starring Claire Danes.

They plan to cast her as a CIA agent with a troubled past who has worked on dangerous undercover black ops around the world.

The drama, shown on Channel 4 in the UK, has 30 million viewers around the world.

A source said: “Hollywood casting agents think Michelle could be the next Catherine Zeta Jones.

“They’re eager to get her on board. But Homeland is out in front because Michelle is a big fan.”
