Caravan gets listed after a heritage blip
FED- UP Frank Bryce has been warned he can’t move his caravan from his front drive – after it was LISTED accidentally by bungling heritage bosses.
Frank, 60, has spent weeks sprucing up the £ 325 A- Line Equipe tourer ready for fun trips with wife Jean.
So he was stunned to receive an official letter informing him he needs official permission to make “any alterations whatsoever” – and that includes hitching it to his VW Passat.
Retired plasterer Frank of Filey, North Yorkshire, raged: “At first, I thought it was a joke but when I called the number on the letter I was told that my caravan was now a listed building.
“I could get fined or even jailed if I so much as attach an awning. I’ve been told it will cost me upwards of £ 20,000 to get my van de- listed and it could take two years. It’s crazy.”
A source at Heritage England blamed “an administrative error”. BRISTOL has a mobile kebab truck called Jason Donervan.
