TWO climbers have scaled the one of the world’s most famous rock faces – stark naked!
Leah Pappajohn, 29, and pal Jonathan Fleury, 28, climbed the ferocious El Capitan in Yosemite National Park, California, with only ropes, shoes, and packs on their backs.
The pair ascended to the peak in 12 hours – a personal record for both climbers.
Despite the reduced drag of climbing sans clothes, Leah – a nudist – says the ordeal was all good fun.
She said: “I’ve rock climbed naked in lots of different places, but El Cap has always been the goal.”
She explained that it’s important for her to “do things naked that are nonsexual.”
Prior to the 7,500- ft ascent, friends of the climbers attempted to predict the side effects of nakedness while scaling an exposed rock face, such as scrapes, chafed thighs and chilly temperatures.
All they got were minor sunburns.
