Pet warning after poisoned wolf find

COPS reckon an animal serial killer is on the rampage after a WOLF was found poisoned.

And the critter- hating monster is believed to have already seen off six foxes, a cat, a kite and a badger.

Police said the wolf marks a large step- up in his campaign of animal killing in the Swiss area of Fribourg.

The adult female wolf, discovered in a field, was taken to the University of Bern where an autopsy showed it had been poisoned, Fribourg’s public prosecutor said in a statement.

People owning animals in the area have been warned to keep them away from abandoned food waste.

Wolves have slowly returned naturally to Switzerland in recent years and are now a protected species.
