Police Taser sets drunk man on fire

A NAKED man was accidentally set on fire after a Taser hit his cigarette lighter during a struggle with police.

Travis L. Tingler, 32 ( above), was arrested for allegedly standing in the street with no clothes on and making threats to people.

Tingler’s girlfriend told officers he’d been drinking for three hours and had been making odd comments.

He then smashed a glass on the street and removed his clothes.

A police department officer, from Manitowoc, Wisconsin, wrote in a report: “He had a dazed appearance, a blank stare and he sweated profusely.”

When officers tried to escort him into a police car, he resisted, and was Tasered.

During the struggle, Tingler picked up a lighter and when the stun gun hit it, it caused his beard and chest hair to catch fire.

Officers managed to put out the fire, and was taken to hospital where he tested positive for marijuana and was found to be pissed.
