TELLY producers hope to ride the Love Island wave with a new version of the show – featuring NAKED CODGERS!
Love Island has been the TV hit of the summer, with ratings for the third season going stratospheric as viewers tune in to watch fit, young singletons looking for love.
And, never shy of recycling ideas, producers hope to swap attractive, youthful contestants with older, wrinkly ones.
Pilot
A pilot for the new show – provisionally called OAP Love Island – has already been filmed in the south of France.
This autumn, viewers may all be talking about the Viagra- fuelled antics of Pat and Frank, Phyllis and Dom, Jean and Tony and Jessica and Eric.
Dom, aka Leeds retired stockbroker Dom Teather, has been a regular at the Plage d’Amor nudist camp at Cap D’Agde with his wife Phyllis for 15 years.
And he reckons that the TV cameras were more than welcome.
He told Sunday Sport: “This is more than a mere nudist camp. It is a lifestyle.
“We were glad to show off a bit for the cameras. Certainly what we get up to is far more interesting than those young bucks on Love Island.”
