The pranksters have used modern technology to alter stills from the early- morning show to give the impression that sturdy Teessider Steph had gone on air wearing a see- through top and no bra several times.

Needless to say, the no- nonsense presenter – famed for explaining the intricacies of the global financial markets in layman’s terms – would NEVER suffer such a grievous lapse of professionalism.

A source said: “It’s rather ironic that Steph started her TV career doing work experience for Tomorrow’s World.

“Who would have believed that some of the technology which was showcased on that programme would be later misused to create these sordid images?

“But I tell you what… I wouldn’t like to be the person who created these fakes when Steph catches up with them!”
