KELLY BRENDAN, 19, STUDYING ENGLISH LIT IN MANCHESTER

-

BEFORE I came away to Uni, my mum sat me down to have “a chat”.

It was like being a schoolgirl again and getting “The Talk”.

She danced around the subject and said things like “be careful” but we both knew what she meant.

She would have a fit if she knew what things are really like at Uni.

It’s a good job she doesn’t read or she’d hit the roof if she got to learn about what I’ve been getting up to.

I’d never used Tinder before and hadn’t planned on using it at all.

Sex wasn’t the most important thing on my mind when I first got here, and anyway, I thought that I’d find plenty of partners at social events and at the union bar.

I was in a relationship before I came to Uni but we split up – both realising that we would never keep things going while we were both away at college.

It was my room- mate, Sarah, who introduced me to Tinder.

She told me: “It saves you so much time.

“You go out to a party or for a drink and you meet up with someone you’ve already been chatting with online.”

And that’s the good thing about Tinder.

Everyone on it knows it’s no- strings sex, so there’s none of that awkward avoiding people you’ve slept with in the first term.

Since I’ve been here I’ve slept with 10 guys who I’ve met on Tinder – all of them at my Uni.

In fact, one guy was on my course. I’d not even noticed him in lectures but we linked up on Tinder.

He seemed like a shy type but by God he had a MASSIVE cock and I was walking bandy- legged for two days afterwards.

I’ll be hooking him up with him again soon!
