EU bars logo on cars

DRIVING a car with an EU logo printed on the numberplate will be ILLEGAL after Brexit and could invalidate your insurance, motoring chiefs have warned.

Many new cars have the 12- star EU logo printed on the left hand side of the plate, but as Brussels owns copyright to the image, cars displaying them after March 2019 will breach trademark rules.

Giles Patterson, head of the pro- EU Motor Safety Research Foundation, said: “Motorists would not have voted for Brexit knowing it would make their vehicle an illegal publication.”
