Richmond hit four to stay in third spot

RICHMOND Town remain third after they won 4-0 at Sunderland West End.

Stephen Butterwort­h opened the scoring when his header found the net after 23 minutes. Ben Darville made it 2-0 three minutes later

Scott Ryan’s header made it 3-0 after 34 minutes and Kalumn Holbrook tapped home to make it four with 10 minutes left.

Cleator Moor Celtic and Silksworth played out a 0-0 draw in windy conditions, Silksworth dominating the first half and Cleator Moor the second - but goalkeeper­s Joe Walton and Tom Sharpe were untroubled.

Hartlepool won 4-2 at Annfield Plain and took a 25thminute lead through Matthew Gardner.

Plain equalised just after half-time when Lewis Donnelly found the net.

A Jamie Tumilty strike made it 2-1 in the 65th minute and then Gardner scored his second for 3-1.

Tumilty then doubled his tally for 4-1 to Pools before Michael Hall scored a late consolatio­n for Plain.

Wolviston came from behind twice to earn a 2-2 draw at Prudhoe. Jack Barker’s header after 10 minutes put the home side ahead but five minutes into the second half, Josh Chambers finished well to equalise.

Prudhoe went 2-1 ahead after 67 minutes when Junior Masandi finished well and then with five minutes remaining Derek Waters was tripped in the box and he himself converted the penalty.

Windscale went down 1-0 at home to Coxhoe Athletic.

The crucial goal came five minutes into the second half when Gavin Brown’s 25-yard shot hit both posts before finding the net.

Bottom club Harton and Westoe beat Stokesley SC 3-1, although the visitors went ahead after five minutes through Sean Laverick.

Harton equalised on 18 minutes when Daniel Sirrell scored from close range.

Two goals in seven minutes won the game for the South Tynesiders when Sirrell fired home his second on 70 minutes and Harley Davison then made it three.
