I am pleased for the sit-down, it has been such a busy week. I took some time off and went to Butlins for a break with the family. It has been non-stop parks, swimming, kids clubs and rides for the past week, I feel as though I need a holiday to recover from the holiday!

Oh, I must mention this! Before we went on holiday, we went for a meal at MOD Pizza in the new restaurant area of Intu Metrocentre and it is AMAZING! I highly recommend it if you’re out shopping in the Metrocentre. Not only was it delicious, your drinks are refillable for one set price and you pay one price for your pizza and have as many or as little toppings on as you want.

The world of money saving never stops though so I’m back with some ideas to help you save the pennies.

Bank account skimming - I thought I’d give this a try to save towards our holiday money spends. It is so easy to do if you have access to mobile or online banking. Simply skim the pounds off your balance in one account and transfer it to another.

Say you had £52.87 in your bank account, move the £2.87 into another account. In total, I saved £187.02 over two months and I didn’t really miss the money because I was moving small amounts on a daily basis.

Why not start planning next year’s holiday NOW? Even a UK break can be found cheap enough if you plan ahead. I have done a little research and a short summer holiday at many Haven locations around the UK can be found for only £20 a month on a payment plan.

If you’re looking for somewhere to take the kids then why not head to Mini Moos Fun Park? Not only is it a farm with everything from donkeys to petting animals such as rabbits, there are Go Karts, inflatables, a small soft play area and much more. They’re only open school holidays and weekends.
