A record-breaking evening gives fans lots to sing about

NEWCASTLE United created club history with a record-breaking 14th away victory in a single campaign on Friday night.

Rafa Benitez’s men defeated Cardiff City 2-0 as the already-promoted Magpies moved one clear in terms of away victories of the mark set by Kevin Keegan’s title-winning side of 1992/93.

We all know Christian Atsu scored a sublime free-kick and Isaac Hayden netted with an impressive 25-yard drive but there was plenty more to whet the appetite too – even if the first half was dire.

So here we run through some of the moments you might have missed from a night in Wales when Newcastle made history...
