GRIEVING friends of a woman found dead in a burning car have paid tribute to the ‘most beautiful and kind girl’.

Quyen Ngoc Nguyen, 29, from the Killingworth area, was discovered in the flaming vehicle on Tuesday.

Emergency services were called to Success Road in Shiney Row, Houghton-le-Spring, Sunderland in the early hours to extinguish the fire before finding her body.

Two men, Stephen Unwin and William McFall, were charged with the mother-ofone’s murder on Friday, and made their first appearance at Newcastle Crown Court on Saturday morning.

Speaking on the steps of the court, an emotional female friend of Quyen spoke of her pain following the young mum’s death. She said: “She was the most beautiful and kind girl. Since she died, people have come from all over the UK, from Birmingham and London, everywhere, just to see her picture.

“Even now, they cannot see her body. She never upset anybody.”

Ms Nguyen is believed to have been working in the area after studying for an MBA in business in the UK.

Family and friends of the 29-year-old filled the public gallery in the courtroom, many dressed in black.

A woman carried a portrait of Ms Nguyen into the hearing, and several mourners wore white headbands and armbands – a traditional Vietnamese funeral custom,

Unwin, 39, of St Oswald’s Terrace, Shiney Row, and McFall, 50, of Waterloo Road, Blackpool, both wore grey sweatshirts and spoke only to confirm their names, ages and addresses. The accused were remanded in custody by magistrates and are due to appear at the same court on Tuesday.
