Teasdale on top form for Tow triumph

1 1 TOW Law Town came from behind at Thornaby to top the EBAC Northern League Division Two table.

It was drama-filled first half, with contrastin­g emotions for Max Robinson and Lewis Teasdale.

Robinson stepped up to bury his first spot-kick early on but just 10 minutes later, Teasdale put the Lawyers on level terms.

Another spot-kick was awarded in favour of Thornaby but this time Robinson failed to convert.

Teasdale continued his fine goalscorin­g form, his 40th-minute strike proving to be the winner.

Northaller­ton Town moved up to second with results at Hebburn Town and Friday night’s game at Ryton going their way.

Nick Martin’s goals in the sixth and 19th minutes were enough as Kyle Morris made it a tense finish with 10 minutes to go.

Whickham stunningly hit eight at Esh Winning. Andrew Bulford scored a brace on his Lang Jacks debut alongside Steven Aiston.

Owen Lancaster, Kallum Broadhead, Andrew Brown and David Backhouse also found the net as Whickham keep tabs on the top three.
