DARLINGTON have completed the signing of former Newcastle United Under-23s striker Luke Charman and Crewe Alexandra veteran Nicky

Hunt.

The duo were both added to Alun Armstrong’s squad on Tuesday as the Quakers look to mount a challenge for promotion in the National League North this season.

● Joe Walton was the big winner at Morpeth Town’s end-of-season awards.

The winger was named as the Highwaymen’s Manager’s Player of the Season, Player’s Player of the Season, Supporters’ Player of the

Season and Volunteers’ Player of the Season. The Northern Premier League club announced their awards online as Covid-19 prevented them from holding their annual awards night at Craik Park.

● Ashington trio Adam Mchugh, David Luke and Max Emmerson have all signed new one-year deals to remain at Woodhorn Lane.

● Defender Anth Myers and midfielder David Robinson have become the latest former Seaham Red Star players to join Northern League Division One rivals North Shields.

● Craig Hodgson and James Armstrong have agreed to join the coaching staff at Sunderland RCA. Hodgson will combine playing duties alongside his role as a coach and former RCA player Armstrong re-joins the club after accepting an offer to form part of Martin Swales’ backroom staff.

● Billingham Town have confirmed the appointmen­t of Stephen Durrant as their new commercial manager.

● Former Whitley Bay FA Vase winner David Pounder has been confirmed as the new joint-manager at Easington Colliery. Pounder will work alongside Craig Hughes, with Stuart Niven continuing in his role as assistant manager.

● Former Netherland­s youth

internatio­nal Maurice Kone and Cape Verde striker Ricardo Pereira have both agreed to join Durham City as their new-look squad continues to take shape.

● Crook Town have added former FC Hartlepool and Bishop Auckland striker Jamie Tumilty to their squad.

Manager Jamie Tunstall said: “He’s been on my radar for a while and someone whose progress I’ve kept a close eye on. I’m thrilled that he’s chosen to come to Crook this year.”

● Versatile defender Keelan Nellis has committed to Bedlington Terriers for the new season.

● Chester-le-street Town have confirmed that they have agreed in principle to enter into a partnershi­p with local junior club Chester-le-street Waldridge Park.

● Wearside League club Washington United have completed the signings of former Chester-lestreet Town striker Harry Wood and 19-year-old winger James Chapman.

● Horden CW have revealed that Peter Crawford, Paul Griffith, John Bowes and Joe Bell will all remain with the club next season.
