Speaking after the settlement was agreed, mum Vicky said: “The care package we will now receive will go a long way to making Megan’s life easier but will never make up for the difficulti­es that she hasfacedin the past and will encounter in the future due to the mistakes made by the trust. “Clearly we would all rather not be in this situation but at least as a family we will now be able to put this ordeal behind us and work with Megan to ensure that she can live as independen­tly as possible in the future.”
