Kelly May in danger of being found out

-

newspaper proprietors, I think the poll ratings would be significantly different.

When she called a snap election it flew in the face of numerous promises she had made since she became PM not to.

When Corbyn chose not to challenge her and instead back an early election it was described by some as ‘political suicide’ as he could not win.

How cynical we have become. Forget having the courage of your convictions, only act if you believe you are 100% sure of winning.

Well, here’s the thing. Although it’s a long shot, May might not win the majority she craves, particularly if she carries on the way she doing.

She’s trying to make the election about Brexit but the country isn’t as obsessed with Brexit as she thinks now the referendum has been held and we voted to leave.

The majority of voters are much more concerned with a National Health Service in meltdown, a social care crisis, spiralling poverty, stagnating wages, benefits cuts, a state education system under siege and inequality at an historic low.

The country is in a mess yet when May announced the snap election she spoke of standing by her record.

I can’t think of one positive thing her government has achieved. And is no wonder, looking at who holds the top jobs in her administration.

You have a chancellor, Philip Hammond, who doesn’t even know his own party’s manifesto commitments and a foreign secretary, Boris Johnson, who wanders the world stage in this country’s name like Coco the Clown.

And then there’s David Davis who has been in charge of Brexit negotiations since last year and who admitted only last month he hasn’t got a clue what the possible impact of Brexit on the country will be as he hasn’t looked into it.

The Tories claim that Corbyn is unfit to run the country. Pots and kettles, as they say. Prime Minster Theresa May appears to be hiding in plain sight
