Hopson’s choice shot sees Blues end on high

WHITBY Town finished the season with a 1-0 win over Hednesford Town at the Turnbull Ground.

Hednesford started the brighter team and Danny Glover went close with a header which hit the bar.

But in the second half, it was Whitby who took the lead after 66 minutes, when Matty Tymon set Dale Hopson up, who volleyed home an unstoppable shot from 20 yards.

Whitby continued to dominate, with Tymon hitting the bar and Hopson had a shot saved on the line.
