Warning over fake drug watch
BLUE pills sold as ecstasy could pose a danger to unwitting drug users.
Northumbria Police have warned that some pills sold as ecstasy in the North East area are actually a combination of cocaine and meth.
The pills are called Blue Teslers and are described as having a blue coating but are white with dots inside. The logo on the pill is a sword pointing downwards.
Police are now warning the public and asking if anyone sees anyone with these pills to contact police.
Earlier this week, it emerged that drug gangs were cutting cocaine with de-worming chemicals. A report claims four-fifths of Britain’s cocaine supply could be mixed with levamisole, a de-worming chemical usually used on farm animals.
Levamisole can cause discolouring and skin rot in humans, while doctors say it can lead to a decline in white blood cells.
