Silver for quartet
GREAT Britain’s women won a fantastic silver medal in the 4x100 metres.
The quartet of Asha Philip, Desiree Henry, Dina Asher-Smith and Daryll Neita came home in 42.12 seconds as the United States claimed gold in a world-leading 41.82secs.
Britain were roared home by a packed London Stadium crowd and Neita, on the anchor leg, held off Jamaica by 0.07s to secure second place.
