MONK: THERE HAVE BEEN IMPROVEMENTS AND PLAYERS ARE TRYING TO DO RIGHT THINGS

-

NEWCASTLE United are believed to have held initial talks with a clutch of interested parties over potential investment at St James’ Park,

The club’s managing director Lee Charnley and his commercial team flew to the Far East at the end of last season before returning with a new sponsor in Chinese firm Fun88.

News that there were interested parties from China followed in June, with Mike Ashley’s willingness to listen to offers for the club also becoming apparent.

However, we now understand that a number of parties have signed non-disclosure agreements, and senior figures have held discussions with several parties about the options on offer from the Toon owner when it comes to new investment.
