Woman’s £27,000 bill sting
A REDCAR woman must await her fate after admitting a £27,700 fraud in which she claimed she needed money for vet’s bills.
Pamela Anne Johnson, 50, of Newlands Grove, Redcar, appeared at Teesside Magistrates’ Court ,accused of fraud by false representation.
She is accused of ishonestly making a false representation - that she required money for vet’s bills - intending to make a gain for herself of £27,700 cash.
The offence, which she pleaded guilty to, occurred over 17-months from February 2016.
No further details were given.
Declining jurisdiction, District Judge Timothy Capstick adjourned the case and sent it to Teesside Crown Court.
Johnson, wearing a black jacket and trousers, wept uring the brief hearing.
