Caravan full of rubbish sparks row

THIS eyesore caravan was left on a suburban street for weeks.

The vehicle, packed with wood, paint cans and other waste, was apparently abandoned on Northumberland Street in North Shields between three weeks ago.

Barry Underwood, 60, who lives in the area, said: “This caravan has just been dumped here on the roadside and it’s full of junk like paint tins.

“It’s been here for to four three or four weeks and it’s a serious hazard.

“Something needs to be done to get it moved.”

The council said legal action could be taken against the person responsible for leaving the vehicle at the site.
