-

HEBBURN Town Reserves remain top of the Wearside League table after a comprehensive 7-0 win at bottom-ofthe-table Coxhoe Athletic.

Kevin Bolam’s side were in complete control by half-time as goals from Tom West, Ryan Lamb, Shaun Carroll and debutant Shaun Reay put them four up at the interval.

Carroll grabbed his second in the second-half and further goals from Harry Simpson and Adam Sharp rounded off a fine day for the Hornets.

Wolviston lie just a point behind them in second after winning on their first ever visit to West Auckland Tunns.

Wolvo had to come from a goal behind to secure the three points but a Michael McGee brace and a Andy McGirr goal kept them just behind the Hornets.

Harton and Westoe CW are in third after Paul Burrell and Joe Turnbull got the goals in their 2-0 win at Windscale.

Chris Tarn was Darlington RA’s hero as his late brace helped them come from behind to secure a 3-2 win against Richmond Town.

Ben Darville gave Richmond a 12th-minute lead which they kept until Quinn Robson got the hosts back on level terms ten minutes after the break.

Scott Ryan put Richmond back in front on 67 minutes but Tarn handed his side the points with two goals in the last five minutes of the game.

Horden CW progressed into the first round proper of the Monkwearmouth Charity Cup with a 5-0 hammering of Darlington Town.

Robbie Renwick got a brace for Horden and further goals from Josh Broom, Anthony Cowie and John Bowes helped them to a comprehensive win over a young Quakers side.

Gateshead Leam Rangers are already into the second round of the same competition following a 3-1 win at Annfield Plain.

Holders Hartlepool FC eased past Durham and Wearside Development Division side Farringdon Detached in the first round of the Total Sport Alan Hood Charity Cup.
