Astronomical event on offer

Stargazers can enjoy an astronomical event. The Souter Solar Spectacular is being held at Souter Lighthouse in Coast Road, Whitburn, on Sunday, August 7. It runs from 11am to 5pm and is being led by the South Shields Astronomical Society. People can learn about the nearest star to Earth.
