Close win for men in war of the taxes

Men are more likely than women to complete their tax return on time – but only just, show new figures. HMRC data shows 235 returns out of every 10,000 submitted by women in 2014-15 were late, just three more than the figure for men. Over-65s show the younger generation how it’s done, with only 104 per 10,000 tax returns received late, compared to 833 for 18-20 year-olds.
