SKIN DEEP: A trio of lingerie-clad models kicked off London Fashion Week - with a protest against the use of animal skins on the catwalk.

The group stripped off into matching green underwear and crocodile masks before posing outside the show’s main venue on the Strand in central London.

Animal rights charity Peta, which organised the protest, is campaignin­g against the use of exotic animal skins in the fashion industry.

SKIN DEEP: Itwas quite a night for a college basketball fan who sunk a basket from the half-way line to win a 500-dollar (£400) gift card - then received a marriage proposal seconds later. Erin Tobin took part in a Dunkin’ Donuts promotion during the Manhattan Siena game at the Times Union Centre in Albany, New York state, and the 30-yearold Siena graduate and season ticket holder nailed her one-handed, halfcourt heave. After celebratin­g, Ms Tobin turned to see the Dunkin’ Donuts mascot’s giant coffee cup costume being removed to reveal her boyfriend, 31-year-old Steve Duckett, on his knee and holding an engagement ring. A surprised Ms Tobin said yes as the crowd cheered. Adding to an already big night, Siena beat Manhattan 94-71.

PINT-SIZED PERK: It was quite a night for a college A craft brewing company is offering staff a week of paid “paw-ternity leave” if they get a new dog. Brew Dog is launching the Puppy Parental Leave programme to give employees time to bond with their new pet, whether they are welcoming a new puppy or taking in an older rescue dog. The Aberdeensh­ire brewery is a dogfriendl­y workplace, with around 50 office dogs, and has already had inquiries from staff about the scheme.
