Hotel’s joy at hosting health awards again
Hotel staff say they are delighted to honour the area’s health service heroes once again.
The Quality Hotel in Boldon is a sponsor for this year’s Best of Health Awards, which aim to honour outstanding people in the health services.
The annual awards – which this year are being held jointly across South Tyneside and Sunderland for the first time – will end with a grand final at the hotel next month.
Carl Wilkinson, business developmentmanageratQuality Hotel Boldon, said the staff are looking forward to hosting the special event again.
He said: “Our entire team at Quality Hotel Boldon are delighted to have been chosen to host such a prestigious local awards ceremony. We have a long-standing relationship with South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Trusts.
“We have been very fortunate to have hosted a number of high-profile events for the trusts and we work tirelessly to ensure everything is brought together to deliver a perfect evening.”
He added: “We last hosted the Best of Health Awards in 2013 and the event was very well received by all who attended.
“We look forward to raising the bar for the 2017 ceremony and welcoming the North East’s leading health professionals for what will be a fantastic evening.”
Also sponsoring this year’s awards are South Tyneside NHS Foundation Trust, City Hospitals Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust, mydentist, and NHS Sunderland Clinical Commissioning Group.
There are a range of categories for people to choose to nominate someone for and once the nominations are in, a shortlist will be drawn up.
Finalists will then be invited to the final on Thursday, April 27. To nominate someone for an award, just send your name, address and telephone number, as well as your email address, if applicable.
Remember to include the category you are putting your nominated cause into. Also send the name of the person you wish to nominate, along with their address, telephone number and email (if known). Send entries to Lynn Wild by no later than April 7.
