SIBLINGS FULFIL FAIRYTALE DREAM WITH LAUNCH OF BUSINESS
Sisters hope their new venture will leave them living happily ever after as they begin to welcome customers to their fairytale-themed cafe.
Enchantment has been set up by Jennifer Short and Grace McKenzie, in Olive Street, Sunderland, in the former Cafe 18.
Murals have been painted on the walls by Andy Young to create the perfect setting, with storytelling sessions also held for youngsters.
Jennifer, 28, from Grangetown, said: “We’ve opened it as a family cafe that wasn’t just that, some- where weird and wonderful.
“We have a liquor licence an d so cocktails is some- thing we’re going to do, and we want somewhere all age groups can come and relax.
“We’ve given it a fantasy fairy tale theme, so children will be entertained, but then we thought if people have children, it might be nice if there was something for them.
“’ come together. “We’ve been working on sketches and ideas for it for ages. “It’s a great location and it’s got a garden, so people can sit out and gives it so much potential and it’s south facing.” The cafe is specialising in freak shakes, milkshakes with added treats, and has put together a cocktail list ch follows he stor - ‘skinny plates’ of salads, fish finger sandwiches, hot dogs, rgers and breakts.
