City switch to Willington

Northern League Second Division club Durham City will stage their home games at Willington’s Hall Lane ground next season.

City have played at Consett for the last 18 months since departing New Ferens Park, and have fomally agreed a one-year groundsharing agreement with Willington, with an option to extend the deal.

City will have midweek home matches on Tuesdays, with landlords Willington playing on Wednesdays.

The clubs will play at Hall Lane on alternate Saturdays
