Red lights mean stop

Now that speeding fines have changed, I am sure we will see and increase in the number of cameras dotted about our city ready to snap the unsuspecting, lawbreaking driver.

An area which really deserves to have cameras is traffic lights at roundabouts.

Drivers have no respect, jumping the lights when it suits.

To the best of my knowledge once the lights turn amber you are supposed to slow down in anticipation of the red light, which means stop.

So please apply your breaks and honour the law thereby avoiding accidents. Mark Banks
