Readers Durham Cricket League Division One Leaders Seaham Park welcome Philadelph­ia and the visitors have a few changes to make.

Chairman Malcolm Pratt said: “Captain Shaun Smith and David Lowther are both on honeymoon and also unavailabl­e are left arm spinner Adam McGuire and batsman Mattie Noble, who are both working.”

Malcolm added: “In come new signing Ryan Dowens, who has scored more than 400 runs for Whiteleas this season.

“He recently joined the Bunker Hill side and makes his debut. Michael Hall, who has a century to his name in the second eleven, is a hardhittin­g batsman, with Jamie Parkinson and young James Heydon filling the other three slots.

“Heydon, a leg spinner and promising batsman, has played little club cricket so far, having been committed to his school and has now returned from a 14-day cricketing tour to Sri Lanka.”

Second top Tudhoe entertain Horden, who are at full strength.

Durham City are third, and welcome Whiteleas who have lost their last three games and must win if they are to get back on track in the promotion race.

Leas are without two key players for the clash, with wicket-keeper Scott Oliver and all-rounder Rob Scorer missing.

Andrew Potts remains unavailabl­e as he recovers from injury, but they do have news in that Kris McShane is available for the next month.

Esh Winning in fifth, are at home to Dawdon and skipper Stu Hall said: “We have two changes from last weekend, Jonny Hodgson and Simon Moralee in for Michael Bussey and Leigh Goodwin.

“The lads are in good spirit after a superb win last weekend at Whiteleas, but know that they will have to play well again, for a win against Dawdon.”

Bill Quay travel to Easington and skipper Alan Mustard said: “We have a good record against them, so although they’re near the top and we’re near the bottom, we hope to get a good result.”

Littletown need points to avoid relegation and they face Castle Eden at home and will be unchanged. Division Two

Ryhope entertain leaders Crook Town and Secretary Alan Mason said: “We are at home against Crook which again will be another hard game and will be a good test for us.

“We have gone unbeaten in the last six games, with one draw and one being called off, but things are going well.

“We hit a sticky patch, but seem to have gotten through that, so we hope to have a decent game and continue our little run.”

Peterlee welcome Ushaw Moor who are in second place.

Marsden, in third, welcome Hylton in fourth and Vice-captain James Sneller said: “Home advantage will be a help and we blipped last weekend, so will be looking to bounce back immediatel­y.

“We will be strengthen­ed by Paul Cook returning from holiday and Ryan Little also returns.

Liam Foster, for the visitors, said: “It will be a tough game, however, we are nearly at full strength and certainly looking forward to it.”

Evenwood in fifth, host Boldon CA and Secretary Luke Bannister said: “If we beat them we can climb the table. We have a game in hand, so every game is a must win if we want to move up.” Silksworth host Langley.
