The following cases have been dealt with at Sunderland Magistrate­s’ Court. Stephen Samuel Armes,

58, of Brans ton Street, Southwick, Sunderland, pleaded guilty to assaulting a woman on March 21. He was discharged conditiona­lly for 12 months and was told to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £20. A one-year restrainin­g order was made in relation to the victim.

Peter Flynn, 56, of Saint Leonard Street, Sunderland, was found guilty after a trial of driving a Citroen motor vehicle on Vilette Road without a seat belt, on March 11. He was fined £60 and was told to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £30 and costs of £310. David William Stebbing, 42, of Tollerton Drive, Sunderland, pleaded guilty to using a Landrover Discovery on Cullercoat­s Road, Sunderland, without thirdparty insurance on September 29. He was discharged absolutely. Amber Dunn, 19, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to damaging a window to the value of £100 belonging to Forever Care in Sunderland on March 9. She was fined £80 and was told to pay compensati­on of £100, a surcharge to fund victim services of £30 and costs of £85. David Matthew Gerrard, 29, of no fixed address, admitted to stealing cash to the value of £290 from a woman, on June 26. He was sentenced to a community order for 12 months with 20 days’ rehabilita­tion activity. He was also told to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £85 and costs of £85. Stephen Dodsworth,

28, Pendle Close, Lambton, Washington, admitted producing cannabis on May 11. He was fined £480 and was told to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £48.00 and costs of £85. Ellie Chippendal­eGlenn, 18, of Crescent Road, Middlesbro­ugh, admitted an assault in Sunderland on June 4. She was handed an 18-month community order with 60 hours’ unpaid work and 30 days specified activity, with a £85 surcharge and £85 costs.
