All you need to know about the iPhone 8

-

It’s no secret that we’re a world addicted to technology.

In a recent report by Morgan Stanley 92 per cent of iPhone owners said they are “somewhat likely or “extremely likely” to upgrade their smartphone in the next 12 months so iPhone users will be pleased to know the newest edition to the Apple family is due to be launched (hopefully) this year.

Although Apple haven’t confirmed any details yet, we’ve scoured the net to find all the latest news and rumours about the new iPhone 8.

The new, and unofficially named iPhone 8 has still not been given a title by Apple but there’s already speculation that it could step away from the traditional Apple numbering scheme and be named something like iPhone Pro or iPhone X.

At present there’s no official launch date for the new iPhone 8, however, September 2017 marks the 10th anniversary of the first iPhone, and the tech rumour mill is in overdrive with suspicions that the iPhone 8 will be launched to coincide with celebrations this autumn. Whenever it’s launched, the iPhone 8 supply is expected to be strictly limited during the first few months, so start queueing now.

The new iPhone 8 is expected to have a Dual-lens 3D camera, curved glass casing, facial recognition, wireless charging, augmented reality capabilities and improved water resistance. The new iPhone 8 is also expected to feature the largest display Apple has ever placed on an iPhone with edge to edge display. It’s also rumoured the iPhone 8 will have a much improved battery performance.

One thing we can confirm is the new iPhone isn’t going to come cheap. Forbes have already reported that the cost of a top of the line iPhone 8 could start at an eyewatering $1,100 (around £850), which is $450 (about £350) more expensive than last year’s iPhone 7. Others are predicting that the phone will cost as much as $1400. Whatever the price tag it’s looking likely to be one of the most expensive and slickest smart phones on the market.
