Sunderland AFC will take on Leeds United on home turf this weekend – and you could be there for free.

We have a pair of tickets to give away to Saturday’s match at the Stadium of Light, which will kick off at 5.30pm.

The tickets are the latest in a series of home league tickets we’ll be giving away this season.

The last time the two teams played each other at the Stadium of Light, Sunderland’s Patrick van Aanholt scored the only goal of the game in a third-round FA Cup tie in January 2015.

The last league meeting between the two sides at the Stadium of Light was in December 2006. Goals from David Connolly and Grant Leabitter gave Sunderland a 2-0 win.

Sunderland also beat Leeds 3-0 at Elland Road in the 2006-07 season. Liam Miller, Graham Kavanagh and Stephen Elliot found the net.

However, the most famous meeting between the two clubs came at Wembley in 1973, when a goal from Ian Porterfield saw Sunderland beat Leeds 1-0 and lift the FA Cup.

To be in with a chance of winning the tickets to Saturday’s match, answer this question: Which of these former footballers has played for both Leeds and SAFC? A) Michael Gray B) Kevin Phillips C) Niall Quinn. Email your answer and daytime telephone number to Katy.Wheeler@jpress.co.uk.

The winner will be notified by telephone on Thursday and they, or a representative, will need to be available to collect the tickets from the Echo offices in Rainton Bridge Business Park, Houghton, in working hours on Thursday or Friday.
