Challenge was met with increased effort. Setbacks were met with resilience. Feedback was sought out and acted upon.
In short, the 2017 cohort of Hetton School quickly embraced our ‘Learn to Achieve’ philosophy.
It is perhaps no surprise therefore that there were some fantastic individual results from students, or that Hetton School’s results have taken a leap forward from previous years.
The percentage of students achieving a good grade in English and Mathematics has risen to 61% (up 9% from 2016 and 18% from 2015).
When we include other subjects, the figure is up 21% in the last two years.
