FULL CIRCLE: Ultra-endurance cyclist Mark Beaumont is set to reclaim the world record for circumnavigating the globe one day ahead of schedule. The adventurer is due to arrive in Paris on Monday, finishing his round the world in 80 days challenge on day 79. Inspired by Jules Verne’s classic adventure novel Around The World In Eighty Days, Beaumont set off from under the Arc de Triomphe in Paris on July 2. He cycled through Europe, Russia, Mongolia and China, before his record attempt took him across Australia, New Zealand and North America.

FULL CIRCLE: A new Banksy piece has sold for more than £200,000 at auction. The artwork, named Civilian Drone Strike, depicts drones destroying a childlike drawing of a house while a little girl and her dog watch on in horror. It was sold for £205,000 at an exhibition set up to oppose an arms fair taking place in east London. The money raised will be split between two organisations Campaign Against Arms Trade, which seeks to abolish the international arms trade, and Reprieve, which fights for human rights. FULL CIRCLE:

Vermont’s capital city is saying merci to France for a spelling error on some football shirts. Officials in Montpelier, Vermont, said Montpellier in France ordered team jerseys for its professional Ligue 1 football team and fans, but they arrived printed with just one L instead of two. City manager Bill Fraser said the French city decided to send them to its US counterpart, which is spelled with one L. Mr Fraser said the shirts will go to Montpelier High School football teams and possibly sold in the community to benefit the high school.
