Managerless Easington Colliery are at home to Darlington RA in Division Two tomorrow, with both Jay Redman and Jordan Hailes expected to return to the squad having missed last Saturday’s game.
Chris Pearson will also miss out due to a knee injury, however he will be interim manager if no one is appointed before the game.
A further boost to the team is the return of David Paul. New signing Shaun Smith could make his debut.
Last night, Easington drew 0-0 at home to in a game of few chances. Blyth had Jake Armitage sent off on 71 minutes. The point lifted the Colliers to 14th place.
Hebburn Town manager Scott Oliver, whose side visit Billingham Town: “Tomorrow will be a game between two teams looking for promotion. It should a cracking match, but will be very tough.”
Oliver has a couple of selection dilemmas tomorrow. Striker Channon North and full-back Craig Malley (stomach problem) face fitness tests, but Glen Hargrave and Peter Jones return to the squad.
Jason Blackburn, however, is still out injured.
Durham City are away to Crook Town and are still dogged by injuries.
Jeremy Allen is about two to three weeks away from fitness, as is Ross Simpson. Long-term injury Sam Joyce is also still out.
Craig Hennis will be back in the team and Steven Malloy will face a late fitness test. Manager Ollie Hotchkiss said: “Apart from that, we should be at full strength for the game. We are expecting a difficult match. “They’ve been a bit like us, up and down with results. However, it will be very competitive with us being quite close in proximity.” Chester-le-Street entertain Esh Winning and manager Colin Wake has a few players missing, with Chris Stephenson suspended and Aaron Thompson and Alexander Walker away. Wake said: “We are looking to build on the encouraging second half performance at Jarrow, where we started playing somewhere near our potential. “It took some stern words before the game to get a reaction, but they got back to basics and earned the right to perform in the second half as well as they did.”
Willington play hosts to high-flying Northallerton, who have several players doubtful.
Skipper Dan Jones, Stephen Jackson, Aaron Ramsbottom and Liam Jarvie are all doubtful, while Elliot McGlade is still unavailable. On the plus side, Andy Shepherd and Stephen Cheeseman are back, and Matty Dixon and Colin Anderson should also be available.
