Sunderland bingo website tombola has hit the TV jackpot.

Tombola, the UK’s biggest online bingo site, will be the new sponsor of one of the country’s biggest shows I’m A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!

The partnership, negotiated by Mediacom, will see tombola sponsor the new series of I’m A Celebrity... when it returns towards the end of the year, as well as I’m A Celebrity... Extra Camp on ITV2 and content on the ITV Hub.

The creative and production side of the campaign will be managed by Über Agency, continuing their long-running relationship with tombola.

The Sunderland firm will also sponsor the show companion app, on which viewers can vote for which celebrity they want to take part in Bushtucker Trials, to leave the show and ultimately who will become King or Queen of the jungle.

I’m A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! is one of the most popular programmes on British TV. North East duo Ant and Dec have presented the show since it began and Sunderland-born Geordie Shore star Charlotte Crosby is rumoured to be in the running to appear this year.

Phil Cronin, chief executive of tombola said: “I’m A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! is a perfect fit for tombola, given both entertainment brands are about having fun and community.

“With 10million viewers, the show is must-see viewing including in my own home, so it’s a great match for tombola, which has more players than other bingo site in the UK.

“Tombola previously sponsored Emmerdale on ITV for three years, so we’re excited to be working with the broadcaster again. This time, we’ll be using our sponsorship to support tombola arcade, which gives people the opportunity to play arcade games on the go.”

Founded in 2000, tombola.co.uk is the largest bingo site in the UK, with more players than any other company.

The company is also the leading online bingo company in Spain and Italy with offices in Milan, Madrid and Gibraltar and has plans to expand into more new international territories.

Tombola develops and produce all of its original bingo software and arcade games in-house and employs close to 400 people in the UK and Europe. Launched in 2016, tombola arcade already has a rapidly growing share of the online arcade market.
