Sunderland Minster Playgroup meet on Tuesdays from 9.30am to 11.30am. Sessions cost £2. Refreshments are available. Sunderland Ladies’ Probus Club will meet in St John’s Church, Ashbrooke, on Thursday, November 23. Professor John Derry will give a talk on Edith Cavell. Coffee is served at 10am and the meeting begins at 10.30am. will be staging its first ever pantomime, Aladdin, on November 25 at 6pm and November 26 at 2pm and 6pm in Deptford and Millfield Community Centre. Price for booked tickets is £6 for under 14s and £8 for adults, and concessions, under twos free. On the door tickets are £8 for under 14s and £10 adults and concessions. Souter Lighthouse, the gift shop and tea room are open daily from 11am to 5pm until the end of November. Every Sunday until further notice, there will be 2k and 5k runs along timed courses on Souter’s scenic coast. These are open to runners of all levels and ages including absolute beginners, families and more experienced runners. Meet on the Welfare Field next to the car park.
