Sun­der­land Min­ster Play­group meet on Tues­days from 9.30am to 11.30am. Ses­sions cost £2. Re­fresh­ments are avail­able. Sun­der­land Ladies’ Probus Club will meet in St John’s Church, Ashbrooke, on Thurs­day, Novem­ber 23. Pro­fes­sor John Derry will give a talk on Edith Cavell. Cof­fee is served at 10am and the meet­ing be­gins at 10.30am. will be stag­ing its first ever pan­tomime, Aladdin, on Novem­ber 25 at 6pm and Novem­ber 26 at 2pm and 6pm in Dept­ford and Mill­field Com­mu­nity Cen­tre. Price for booked tick­ets is £6 for un­der 14s and £8 for adults, and con­ces­sions, un­der twos free. On the door tick­ets are £8 for un­der 14s and £10 adults and con­ces­sions. Souter Light­house, the gift shop and tea room are open daily from 11am to 5pm un­til the end of Novem­ber. Ev­ery Sun­day un­til fur­ther no­tice, there will be 2k and 5k runs along timed cour­ses on Souter’s scenic coast. These are open to run­ners of all lev­els and ages in­clud­ing ab­so­lute be­gin­ners, fam­i­lies and more ex­pe­ri­enced run­ners. Meet on the Wel­fare Field next to the car park.
