Knott’s happy with loan deal

Former Sunderland reserve midfielder Billy Knott has joined League One strugglers Rochdale on loan until the summer.

The 25-year-old heads to Spotland despite having played 25 games for League Two newcomers Lincoln City this term.

Dale are six points adrift of safety in 23rd place after a disappointing campaign.

Knott, who could make his debut against former clubGillinghamtomorrow, said: “I’ve seen the way the manager (Keith Hill) plays football, his style of play, and it suits me.”
