Everton loan helps Bolton safety push
Bolton, just a point above the Championship drop zone, have signed Everton midfielder Harry Charsley on loan until the end of the season.
Boss Phil Parkinson (pictured) said of the 21-year-old: “Harry is a player we have watched a lot and he can play all across the midfield as well as in behind the striker. He he is a very good acquisition for us.”
Charsley made his firstteam bow in last month’s final Europa League group tie against Cypriots Apollon Limassol.
Meanwhile, high-flying Bristol City have snapped up Liverpool winger Ryan Kent, who was linked with Sunderland in the summer, on a five-month loan.
Robins boss Lee Johnson said: “He did very well at Barnsley last year and he’ll bring genuine speed, athleticism and ball control to our squad.
“We thank Liverpool for entrusting us with another top player’s development and I’m looking forward to welcoming him in to the group.”
