Talented students set to raise funds for Bradley’s foundation

-

Talented performers from Sunderland are set to do their bit for the Bradley Lowery Foundation tonight.

Five foundation degree students from the University of Sunderland are to raise funds for the charity at a special event being held at Bede College, on Durham Road, Sunderland.

Ashleigh Bosher, Rachael Atkinson, Rachel Fogg, Laura Carr and Emma Milne were required to organise a show to raise money for the charity of their choice as part of their course.

They decided to show their support for the Bradley Lowery Foundation in aid of the brave Sunderland AFC fan, who passed away after a battle with neuroblastoma last July.

In the show, there will be a range of singing and dancing performed by primary school choirs, dance schools and community groups. There will also be face painters, a tombola and a raffle to raise more funds.

Ashleigh is hoping to raise up to £1,000 at the event.

She said: “The more money we raise and the more successful the night is, the better.

“This is such a worthy charity for us to support and we hope people will get behind it.

“If we sell all of the tickets, we are on target to raise about £1,000, which we’d be delighted with.

“All money we raise will go to the Bradley Lowery Foundation.”

Tickets are £6, and doors open at 6pm, with the performances to begin at 7pm.

Tickets can be bought on the door or in advance from the Facebook page ‘Smile for Bradley’, or by contacting Emma Milne on 07530 987310.
