COURT ROUND-UP
The following cases have been dealt with at South Northumbria Magistrates’ Court.
Paul Anthony Bryant, 37, of Wordsworth Avenue West, Houghton, pleaded guilty to driving a Vauxhall Corsa with excess alcohol on The Broadway, Houghton, on December 29, 2017. He was fined £140 and was told to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £30 and prosecution costs of £85. He was disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 16 months.
David King, of Egglington Street, Monkwearmouth, Sunderland, was found guilty in absence of being drunk and disorderly at Tyne Dock Metro Station in South Shields, on December 22, 2017. He was fined £110 and was told to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £30 and prosecution costs of £85.
Osman Ibrahim, 34, of Roker Avenue, Sunderland, pleaded guilty to assaulting a police officer and causing harassment, alarm or distress, on December 22, 2017. He was sentenced to a 12-month community order with 60 hours’ of unpaid work. He was told to pay compensation of £85.
Joe Rutter, 22, of Kirkham, Biddick, Washington, pleaded guilty to driving a Suzuki Swift with excess alcohol at Kirkham, on August 10, 2017. He was fined £440 and was told to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £44 and prosecution costs of £85. He was disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 23 months.
Ryan Wesley Urban, 28, of Goschen Street, Southwick, Sunderland, pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis, on December 29, 2017. He was discharged conditionally for six months and was told to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £20.
Ben Hewitson, 29, of Eden Hill Road,Peterlee,pleadedguiltyto possessionofcannabisinGateshead,onSeptember21,2017.He was fined £138 and was told to pay a surcharge to fund victim servicesof£30andprosecution costs of £85.
