Top praise for the amazing NHS workers

-

Health staff in Sunderland and South Tyneside have had some of their busiest months on record – and that’s why they deserve every bit of recognition they get.

That’s the view of Ken Bremner, Chief Executive of South Tyneside and City Hospitals Sunderland NHS Foundation Trusts – which have come on board as a headline backers of this year’s Best of Health Awards.

Mr Bremner proudly paid tribute to the health teams who have served their areas so well.

And as the time to nominate entries for this year’s awards arrives, he praised the staff whose work will make it incredibly difficult to pick out winners.

He said: “We are proud to once again support the Best of Health Awards and to showcase the fantastic work of our very own NHS staff right here in South Tyneside and Sunderland.

“The past few months in particular have been some of the busiest on record for local NHS services and staff have been working exceptionally hard, regularly going above and beyond the call of duty, to provide excellent, high quality care.

“It is important that we recognise the amazing job staff do and the sheer hard work, dedication and commitment they show each and every day to the NHS. – do you know someone who deserves to follow in her footsteps?

Anyone can put a deserving cause in the running for a trophy.

“These awards provide the perfect chance to say thank you and give the public the chance to share their personal experiences and recognise the hugely positive impact that NHS staff have on their lives. We often get amazing feedback about our teams, but to have their efforts acknowledged in this way will mean a lot to them.” This year’s awards are also backed by the Sunderland Clinical Commissioning Group.
