indoor coaching will begin on Sunday, running until Sunday, March 25, for six weeks. These sessions will be held at Hetton School in their sports hall, all new players are welcome to along, sessions cost £3 and run from 10am to noon. Both boys and girls of all ages are welcome. Sessions with activities including a pancake race, pancakes on the campfire and The Big Pancake story book trail on Pancake Day. There will be a Chinese New Year themed Playschool on Friday from 10am to noon and 12.30pm to 2.30pm, which will cost £6 per child. Also you can celebrate Chinese New Year and the Year of the Dog at a oneoff special Forest Playschool session from 1pm to 3pm with lots of activities including noodles around the campfire. The Forest Playschool will run on Friday mornings and afternoons from February 23 to March 23, from 10am to noon and 12.30pm to 2.30pm, £30 per child or £6. per session. The West Boldon Lodge Quiz Night, to help raise funds for the wonderful woodland campaign, will take place on Friday, February 23, from 7pm to late. Entry £3 per person. Teams of up to eight welcome. Jarrow and Boldon Community Area Forum will meet at Jarrow Town Hall at 10am on Thursday, February 22. Boldon Churches Together will hold their Midday Lent Services followed by a light lunch on the following dates. Thursday, February 22, at noon, at East Boldon Methodist Church (corner of Bridle Path). March 1, St Nicholas Hedworth Lane, Boldon Colliery, March 8, United Reformed Church, East Boldon. March 15, St Nicholas in West Boldon. March 22, Sacred Heart RC Church on New Road, Boldon Colliery.
