New jobs are music to the ears

-

You may have heard of the silver tongue working its magic, but could our musical accent strike gold?

Certainly we’re ahead of the game when it comes to our dulcet tones playing a soothing tune on the ear drum.

A recent survey, conducted by a well known entertainment listings website, revealed that the English accent was the sexiest in the world. Even keeping the French at arm’s length in the hot flush wars.

But when you drill deeper, it’s the North East lilt that really warms the heart.

The Sunderland accent came out top of North East accents, closely followed by Durham.

The finding may be dismissed as chatty magazine fluff, but callcentre bosses at ResQ may beg to differ.

As we reveal today the company is on the lookout for 200 new staff as part of its drive to become Seaham’s biggest employer and a callcentre powerhouse in the North East. And one of its secrets of success? The North East accent!

ResQ head of operations Gareth Haikney, who runs the Seaham centre, revealed the thinking behind the move and how it could help the business thrive.

“We already know that we have one of the friendliest accents in the country and the people up here are second to none - why wouldn’t we build a long term sustainable business here?”

And they are being true to their words, and are making all the right noises.

As we reveal today, the company has a 12-year history of success, an impressive academy system and is now looking to double its workforce with a view to expanding in the future.

They’re making all the right noises, and it is, like the great North East accent, music to the ears!

Pure gold!
